“The Doll’s house"
After two years in a small apartment, we decided to trade the appartment for something more spacious.
We quickly found our small, charming house, which Liselotte immediately nicknamed "The Doll's House".
That was the start of our exciting adventure, where we have seen the house transform into a summer residence that we really love.
First Step – The Kitchen: When we moved in, the kitchen was the first project we started. The old kitchen was both uninspiring and smelled of damp. Therefore, it was quickly replaced with a new, modern kitchen.
The Guest Bathroom on the Ground Floor: The next step was the guest bathroom on the ground floor. We built a new toilet under the stairs and put new tiles on both the walls and floors – an upgrade that we have really enjoyed.
The Bathroom on the 1st Floor: The bathroom on the 1st floor also needed a renovation. We removed the old bathtub and installed a shower – a change that we have definitely enjoyed.
New Tiles Everywhere: Now that we had changed the bathrooms and kitchen, we could see that the old tiles in the house didn't really match anymore. So the decision to change all the tiles on the floor of the house to new, modern tiles was’nt late. It was a big transformation.
Inside, every corner of the house has been renovated and updated... with the exception of the wardrobes. They will have to wait a little longer.
The Dream of a Private Pool: One of Liselotte's big wishes was a small private pool, and last but not least, this dream came true.
We really enjoy life by the pool, and it has made the house a place where we can relax and enjoy the sun.
All in all, our extensive renovation has meant that the house is now exactly what we wanted, and it suits us perfectly.
